Your data has a story to tell. We will analyze your data to gain a complete understanding of what your trends are. We will also get to know your people - how they feel and what they think about the security of their environment is an important piece of the puzzle. With data driving our solutions, we will evaluate the use of security technology - access control, camera systems, alarm systems, and more - and provide resources and best practices for integrating technology into the overall risk mitigation plan. We will evaluate environmental design, assessing the security of a business or facility from a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design perspective.

We will also review and investigate incidents of crime and use of force, providing gap analyses and action plans to improve workplace safety. What happens in the workplace is a true indicator of the efficiency and effectiveness of your security program.

Data, industry standards, compliance measures and success KPIs are baselines for security program.

Every workplace needs to be safe and secure to operate effectively. If your people are worried about "what if" while they work they will not only be less productive but it negatively impacts their employee experience.

Threat Assessments

Ex employee, HR investigation, Threat Assessments, SSRF can provide any security resource needed.

SSRF knows that your organization can ruffle some feathers - intentionally or unintentionally. For a myriad of reasons people can take issue with your business and its practices, someone within your business, or for no good reason at all. When this happens, knowing how to evaluate threats, who to involve, what to do, and how to protect yourself and your people can be tough to navigate.

SSRF has experience conducting threat assessments - threats made directly towards your organization or someone within it, veiled threats made through social media platforms, and other types of threats in between. SSRF utilizes the FBI's threat assessment resources and approach, in conjunction with DOJ, DHS, and other organization best practices to support our assessments.

Collaboratively, we will triage and gather information coming in, activate our team to learn more about the threatener, coordinate resources - within your organization, ours, and law enforcement - and work to determine the level of concern the threat may cause. We will also work to determine imminence in order to inform our violence prevention plan. We can help your organization build, maintain, and operate a threat assessment team of its own, with guidance from our experts. Our team consists of individuals capable of digging further into the cyber profile of threateners to help us understand who we are dealing with.

SSRF's proprietary toolkits for threat assessment and determining level of concern help guide you as you navigate what to do about a threat.

In the end, every threat must be taken seriously. It is through the expertise and experience of professionals who have dealt with these situations that we can help bring your organization peace of mind when this happens.

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design

Our Business Development Guru and Co-Founder, JB, has completed risk assessments, gap analyses, and provided physical and technological security services for hundreds of organizations across the country. We believe that Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design is the basis for all assessments.

The pillars of CPTED are:

  • Natural surveillance: natural architecture designed to ensure people - including criminals - can be seen. Criminals are less likely to commit crimes if they are at risk of being seen.
  • Natural access control: focusing on clear line of sight and entry & exit points into buildings, parking lots, parks, and neighborhoods.
  • Territorial reinforcement: physical attributes of the architecture that clearly delineate owned property and public property such as fences, landscaping, and signage.
  • Maintenance: a well-maintained property shows ownership and pride, and creates a sense of territory for legitimate users of the property. Criminals are less likely to target properties that clearly take ownership of their space and proactively defend against crime.

A safe workplace begins with a safe environment. Utilizing CPTED and the pillars of manipulating the built environment to create a safe space, we will recommend industry standards, perform pressure tests, and ensure that you're going above and beyond to deter criminal activity.

When people feel safe, it shows in multiple ways. Don't wait for a sentinel event to occur before taking measures. Be proactive and see how security impacts the well-being of your people and community.
